A LA PETITE ÉPICERIE
(Maurice CAREME)
A la petite épicerie,
On trouve de tout, oui, de tout :
Du sel, des clous, de la vanille,
Du pain de seigle, du saindoux.
A la petite épicerie,
On trouve de tout, oui, de tout.
Et lorsque c’est la jeune fille
Qui vous demande tout à coup :
"Mon bon Monsieur, que voulez-vous ?"
On dirait que le soleil rit
Entre les pommes et les choux,
Dans la petite épicerie
Où l'on a chaque fois envie
De répondre en tendant ses sous :
"Je voudrais de tout, oui, de tout ."

BLEU ET BLANC
(Maurice CAREME)
Un petit chat bleu
Semé de pois blancs
Vit un gros rat blanc
Semé de pois bleus.
Leurs mignonnes queues
Différaient de peu.
Oui, mais seulement
Le nez du chat bleu
Etait tout tout blanc,
Le nez du rat blanc
Etait tout tout bleu.
Leurs joues et leurs yeux
Différaient de peu.
Oui, mais seulement
Un cil du chat bleu
Etait tout tout blanc,
Un cil du rat blanc
Etait tout tout bleu.
A cause de ce peu,
De ce tout petit peu
De blanc et de bleu,
Ils continuèrent
A se faire la guerre.

Il a tourné
Il a bu le café au lait
Et il a reposé la tasse
Sans me parler
Il a allumé
Une cigarette
Il a fait des ronds
Avec la fumée
Il a mis les cendres
Dans le cendrier
Sans me parler
Sans me regarder
Il s'est levé
Il a mis
Son chapeau sur la tête
Il a mis son manteau de pluie
Parce qu'il pleuvait
Et il est parti

Sans une parole
Sans me regarder
Et moi j'ai pris
Ma tête dans ma main
Et j'ai pleuré.
